THE REAL STORY BEHIND THE DREAM

Updated: Nov 26, 2019

After several years .. I am picking up the pieces of my little business I put on hold and I am ready to hit the ground running.

Welp. Here I am .. finally. After months of debating life and soul searching - I am writing my first blog post in over 5 years. Soo ... welcome!! Thanks for taking the time to hop over and check out what I have been working on - or planning to work on. Everything is still in a very "rough draft" state but I am excited to get back to blogging, designing and DIYing. For those of you who don't know me - I am Heather! I am a wife, a momma to 3 kiddos and we live in a suburb south of Denver. I've taken the last serval years off from design and building mostly due to needing to shift my focus on being home with my kids. I love being a mom .. it's that hardest job on earth .. but it's what God created me to be. That being said, after months of prayerful consideration my husband and I are fully believing that it's time I take a leap of faith and get back to doing what I love.

This little dream all started when I quit my job with the school district back in 2011. We were planning a wedding, planning a future and I was back in school to become a Radiation Therapist (more to come on that in a later post). I started a small business making wood signs that eventually turned into refinishing furniture and then interior design followed. And as things go .. life happened, we had 3 kids, we moved twice, jobs changed and I found myself in this weird “what next” phase. We built our current home 2.5 years ago and it's been the biggest blessing. We live in the most AMAZING neighborhood and we are super close to my family. We've made small updates here and there because having 3 young kiddos has definitely taken up most of our time. But, with lots encouragement from my husband, I am ready (and scared) to take on more outside our home, so, here goes nothing. Almost 9 years in the making and I am jumping in feet first. The path still is unclear .. but I am just re-reading and reassuring myself of the following:

“Don't dig up in doubt what you planted in faith”

We feel like it is fully God's plan for me to step out and get back to interior design, DIY projects and blogging all the goodness to share. We are so excited to see how 2020 is going to unfold - I hope you'll stick around for the ride.

xx,

Heather
